SOMAPSO Pod - BONUS: Willie Nile

We were lucky enough to sit down with rock legend Willie Nile and talk about his music and his upcoming show at SOPAC on February 23.

We had a great time chatting with him and—wow—this guy has some amazing stories that include some very famous rock stars!

If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing Willie Nile in concert, or even if you have (Rent Party 2015, anyone?), don’t miss out on your chance to see him at SOPAC! It promises to be a blast! Get your special listener discount code in our Jan 18 episode!

Thank you to Willie for being so generous with his time and to SOPAC for setting up this incredible opportunity.

SOMAPSO Pod - BONUS: MAPSO Family Follies with Tori Chickering

Get your hula hoops, bassoons, and tap shoes ready because the MAPSO Family Follies are coming!

Tori Chickering joins us to tell us all about the Follies, a community talent show open to anyone in South Orange, Maplewood, and the surrounding communities.

Where did the idea come from? How can you audition? When is the show? What is Tori looking for in a Muppet husband? These questions and more are answered in this bonus SOMAPSO episode!

SOMAPSO Pod - BONUS Crossover Episode with MAPSO Podso

It’s a SO-MAPSO-PODSO Mashup!

We join Eric Greenberg, host of MAPSO Podso, in his studio for a chat about upcoming events, past episodes, local favorite spots, Dirty Dancing, Andrew McCarthy, and of course, Muppets.

SOMAPSO Pod - Interview with Mary Barr Mann and Carolyn Parisi of Village Green

Thank you for sharing your super hero origin story with us, Mary and Carolyn!

Mary Barr Mann and Carolyn Parisi from Village Green stopped by the SOMAPSO studio to chat and it was interesting and a whole lotta fun!

We heard how they got started with VG and a hot paywall tip.

Find out what happens when we turn the SOMA Spotlight around on them. And hear how they feel about Dirty Dancing (spoiler, there’s a +1 for Cat) and, of course, we talk Muppets.

We’re off next week, but back to our regularly scheduled program on August 17.

SOMAPSO Pod - Interview with Stéphane Wrembel, organizer of the Django a Gogo Festival

Thank you for visiting us at SOMAPSO Headquarters, Stéphane!

We were lucky enough to get a chance to sit down with Stéphane Wrembel, a prolific musician and one of the finest guitar players in the world.

Stéphanel has headlined Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Town Hall in NYC, and The Lyon Opera House in France. He has toured Canada, France, Israel, the UK, India, and Nigeria and played at jazz festivals around the world. His original composition “Bistro Fada,” is the theme song for Woody Allen’s 2011 Oscar®-winning film, “Midnight In Paris” – a soundtrack that won a Grammy®

He is also the founder and organizer of the Django a Gogo Camp and Festival that take place in Maplewood, NJ, and New York City.

We had a great time chatting with Stéphane and we hope you enjoy listening to this bonus episode as much as we enjoyed making it! (And get your tickets to the festival before they are sold out!)
